CheerSchedule ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Information We Collect
Location data. With your permission, we use your device's location to find nearby cheer competitions. Location is processed on-device and used only to query our competition database. We do not store or transmit your precise location to our servers.
Account information (optional). If you create a coach account, we collect your name, email address, gym name, and user type to manage your account.
Usage data. We collect anonymized crash reports and basic usage analytics to improve the app. This data is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
Advertising. CheerSchedule displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID) and usage data to serve relevant ads. See Google's privacy policy for details.
How We Use Your Information
- To show nearby competitions relevant to your location
- To manage your optional coach account and preferences
- To improve app performance and fix issues
- To display advertising that supports the free app
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:
- Google AdMob — for advertising (see Google's Privacy Policy)
- IBM Verify — for coach account authentication
- As required by law — if compelled by a valid legal request
Data Retention
Coach account data is retained while your account is active. Anonymized analytics data is retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
CheerSchedule is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@cheerschedule.com.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and secure credential storage. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top and, where appropriate, through in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
